What is your job role at Dunmow Group?
I am the Billing Manager at Dunmow Group. I work closely with the accounts team to ensure all invoices are accurately reconciled and any queries are resolved promptly. My responsibilities also include issuing credit notes, setting up pricing within our Weighsoft system, managing prices, and providing support to both the Credit Control and Purchase Ledger functions.
What is the best part of working for Dunmow Group?
The best part of working for Dunmow Group is being part of a supportive and collaborative team where everyone's contribution is valued. The company encourages growth and development, and there's a real sense of pride in the services we provide. It's rewarding to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and you're constantly learning and making a difference.
What is your favourite snack?
Cadbury Eclairs – the perfect mix of chewy caramel and smooth chocolate. Definitely my go-to treat!
What's one thing you've learned since joining the company?
Since joining Dunmow Group, I've learned the importance of adaptability in a fast-paced environment. The waste management industry is constantly evolving, and quickly responding to changes, whether in systems, processes, or customer needs, has been key to staying efficient and effective in my role.
What is something that people don't know about you?
I used to own a horse, and I'm a proud spectator of my son's football matches, though I'm still working on perfecting my enthusiastic (and not embarrassing) cheering skills. I'm a big family person who loves socialising with friends and loved ones.
Who's someone on the team you admire and why?
I genuinely admire the entire team. Everyone plays a vital and versatile role in keeping things running smoothly, and everyone clearly brings something valuable to the table. The dedication, teamwork and support across departments make it a great environment to be part of.
If you could learn a new skill instantly, what would it be?
I'd love to learn a new language instantly. Being able to communicate effortlessly with people from different cultures would open up so many opportunities both personally and professionally. Plus, it would make my favourite thing, travelling, way more fun!

What's the most unusual thing in your desk drawer?
A Sonic the Hedgehog ball from a McDonald's Happy Meal, my secret weapon for curing hangovers and keeping the team on their toes. Whenever someone messes up, I toss it to remind them that no mistake goes unnoticed… and that I have a weird sense of humour!
Hidden talent?
I can touch my nose with my tongue, not exactly a skill for the CV!
