Dunmow Group, a leading Essex integrated waste management company is pleased to announce it has completed the acquisition of Eastern Waste Disposal Ltd (EWD).

This acquisition continues to jointly enhance Dunmow Group's & EWD's waste management recycling capabilities, providing greater flexibility for its commercial and domestic customers. EWD enables the Group to process more specialist waste steams such as contaminated water, road sweepings, gully waste and contaminated soils. Alternative processes will also enhance the newly formed metal recycling operations launched by Dunmow Group in Chelmsford this year.

EWD is an established name in the recycling and re-processing industry with over 30 years of trading experience.

Sam Malins Group CEO commented "We're excited to continue to deliver on our commitment to being a more sustainable and diverse waste management group, continuing to meet the growing demands of our customers and the environment.

We know that recovering and reusing resources is the key to reducing our demands on landfill, critical environmental resources, and ultimately driving a more sustainable future. EWD brings with it the ability to recycle complex and unique waste streams that otherwise would end up at landfill."

Dunmow Group's expanded recycling and recovery portfolio reaches beyond Essex and is now available across the East of England region.

EWD's customers will now experience enhanced services such as:

  • Paperless & contactless transactions
  • Dedicated customer service teams
  • Customer portal to view all job tickets, weighbridge tickets, invoices and waste recycling reports
  • Online booking
  • A streamlined ordering process with easy communication, WhatsApps & Live Chat contact.
