We thought it would be fun to show you the faces of the staff behind the scenes of Dunmow Group and what role they play for ensuring Dunmow Group are the number one leader for waste management.
What is your job role at Dunmow Group?
I'm Poppy and I am currently a Business Administrator Apprentice transitioning to a Transport Administrator. I have been part of the company for almost a year and a half now.
I work closely with the Dunmow Transport Manager Connor, I'm responsible for keeping tax, MOT and services up to date on all company vehicles, distributing order numbers for parts and processing driver debriefs. I am also studying for my Transport Manager CPC.
What is the best part of working for Dunmow Group?
The people - especially the drivers. Everyone here is so supportive, everyday someone asks me how i am getting on with my coursework and course. It's also nice to talk down to the yard and give the skip drivers a wave!
What is the favourite part of your job?
I have loved learning about how everything works and how to keep things compliant, before working here I had no idea how many rules there are. I also love the general admin side of my job, it can be really satisfying!
Can you explain Dunmow in three words?
Inclusive, busy and orange! 🧡
What is something that people don't know about you?
I have almost 2,000 hours in video game The Sims 4.
What's your food heaven and hell?
Food heaven is my boyfriend's grandmother's pasta - there's nothing like it! 🍝
Food hell is bananas, the taste, texture, and smell make me want to be sick! 🍌
What's the most unusual thing in your desk draw?
I have a drawer dedicated to chocolate biscuits/bars, the drawer is full!
When you were younger, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be a nurse, it was my second choice of apprenticeship when I was thinking about what kind of career I wanted!
