Saturday saw Dunmow Group participate in a Truck Convoy Fundraising event, organised by VG Nash & Sons, to say thank you to the NHS.
The past few months have been a testing time for everyone, especially for staff at the NHS. We joined forces with dozens of other businesses to take part in a Truck Convoy on the 14th of August to help raise money, and to say thank you to the NHS.
The event lasted for 2 days beginning at Generals Farm in Chelmsford. The convoy itself began on Saturday where the trucks were due to depart between 11:00-11:30am, however as a result of the rain the convoy was delayed until 1.30pm.
The trucks set off, heading up the A12 to the Copdock roundabout in Ipswich and then back to Generals Farm where the convoy had the rest of the afternoon for a socially distanced truck meet with refreshments. Despite the weather, the day was a huge success and everyone enjoyed getting together, albeit socially distanced.
We’d just like to take the time to say a huge thank you to the NHS for all their hard work, resilience and determination they’ve shown throughout these uncertain times.
Also, a big thank you to VG Nash and Sons for organising a wonderful event to celebrate our NHS Heroes and we look forward to participating in any future convoys!
