In 1987, Dunmow started with just a handful of skips for hire and over the past 35 years has grown into Essex's largest waste management company. With the growth of the company, naturally comes an expansion in services. Now serving the domestic and commercial customers in the county with skip hire, single and bulky item waste collection, grab hire, aggregates, hazardous waste removal, liquid waste disposal and more plus their very own dedicated scrap metal recycling centres.
With our largest state-of-the-art recycling facility based in Chelmsford, we also have waste management centres in Colchester and Clacton. Now named Dunmow Group, we have heavily invested in the latest technology and now machinery to process and recycle all the types of materials that are brought to us on site. Last year, Dunmow Group uploaded a series of videos across our social media channels called 'Dunmow Destruction'. The videos focused on both Dunmow's CEO's Ed Barnes and Sam Malins whilst they took it in turns to use the yards material handler to load up our ARJES Titan 950 with various items that had been brought into the yard such as a boat, mini cooper and an old taxi in a race against time to see who could shred the items quickest.
Doyle Machinery previously supplied us with our current TITAN 950 which shreds around 500/600 tonnes of bulky waste per day in our Chelmsford shed and has more than 1,500 operating hours on the meter. After it was announced that ARJES has made their 1,000th IMPAKTOR 250 Evo in Germany and that it was going to be sold through UK based Doyle Machinery, it was a no brainer that Dunmow had to have the special shredder to accompany the 950.
Dunmow Group has had over a ten-year relationship with Doyle, we have always had a straight-talking and honest relationship, that's how we like to work. The support i have had from Willie himself over the years has been fantastic. I also work very closely with willie through our sister company Fireward ensuring a selection of his machines are fitted with Automatic Fire Suppression."
The mobile shredder was dispatched from Germany and the time came for the shredder to be delivered to our yard. As this was the 1,000th mobile shredder produced in the ARJES factory, both ARJES and the Dunmow team worked together to create a gifted personalised design for the IMPAKTOR 250, making it very special for the Dunmow Group.

Doyle Machinery are the UK's official sales partner for ARJES. Patrick King, Area Sales Manager greeted Sam for the commissioning of the 250 in January, we wasted no time putting the shredder straight to work after some essential briefing on all the fundamental functions by shredding some wood material.
"I've seen the smaller 250 shredders around before, there are a lot of them in the UK but until owning one I never realised how great they are, it's fantastic. We are using it for hardcore at our Chelmsford site and right now it's oing 70-80 tonne per hour. Since having the 250 i have ordered another one! We also have one working at out Colchester site processing our A-Grade wood. It's making light work o the materials, i love how consistant it is!"
